problems w/ servo upgrade

Well I was installing my TransGo this past weekend, and when it came time to upgrade the servo peices, things got a little more complicated than the video let on. In order for me to completely remove the servo assembly I had to remove the cross member bolts and lower the tranny.

Has anyone else had a similar issue? It was either that, or try to deform my floor board.

Also, the shaft that runs through the "pistons" in the assembly does not want to disasemble with the last piece. (This could be the reason that I had to lower the tranny). The video shows that it should slip right out(and yes I did remove the e-clip). Any suggestions. I'm going to finish the project this weekend (hopefully, its already taken me 2 days due to a few freak problems).

Any thoughts? Thanks alot,

Andrew

I recently installed a billet servo, and the last piston was on there snug.Try pulling and twisting at the same time,or put it in a vise and lightly tap it with a rubber hammer while pulling it.You've probably already tried these things, but thats what I did to remove mine.

Did you have to lower the tranny?

Has anyone had to do that?

Just wondering, because a lot of people talk up the TransGo, and/or corvette servo's but I've never heard of having to do what I did. I'm just curious to know if what others have done. Did it slip right out no problem?

Yes, you have to lower the trans. I know its a bitch but the servo assembly will hit the floor tunnel, not letting you get the servo out.
