Cold tranny hard shifts-Hot=sloppy?

I'm hating my tranny right now, I bought the car with a 1 yr old tranny rebuild, and a few months after that it's messing up, First thing in the morning it shifts hard and feels great, after 10 minutes of driving it shifts sloppy and way to early, What is wrong?I don't trust any shops around here cause I feel like they just want me to spend a grand on a rebuild so I havn't called them yet. Please help.

Ummmm I hate to tell you this but if it is really bad then it is probably fixing to go out. Mine was doing that quite badly last year. When I would first fire it up in the morning it shifted like a freight train rear ended me. Then after about 10 mins it would get really weak and slow. It is normal for them to be firmer when first started depending on how cold it is but if it gets really sloppy prepare for a rebuild. Now when mine heats up it still gets slightly weaker but I can still scratch second no matter how hot I am running.
