Turbo 350 help 2-3 shift

My son-in-law has a Nova and it has lost second to third shift most of the time. When he can get it in third it pulls fine, no slipping. One of my books suggests accumulator valve and or valve body problem. Any other suggestions or possibilities?

Thanks,,,, Matt

I know it's not a third gen but I have a TH350 going in my 91 bird also. The more I can learn the better I like it!

Try disconnecting and/or adjusting the 3-2 kickdown cable (connected to the throttle linkage)...

Other than that check the modulator (if the 1-2 shift is ok, I wouldn't mess with it)..

Good luck

John
