B&M Governor Recalibration Kit - weights/springs to use for 5600-5800 shift point?

I purchased B&M's governor recalibration kit. I'd like my transmission (700R4) to shift between 5600-5800 rpm at WOT. I was wondering if anyone who has used the B&M gov. kit remembers which weights & springs they used to achieve higher rpm shift points.

All info/experiences are greatly appreciated.

Jed, the springs do not necessarily affect the WOT shift point but the weights do. The springs affect the shifting while puttin' around town. The best way to do it since every car is different is to try a couple weights and then move heavier for lower shift points or lighter for higher shift points. In my car weight #2 and #3 would give about 5800 rpm upshifts. You may need to go to a heavier weight and do a little grinding at a time to get it just perfect. If you have a scale that weighs grams weigh your stock weights and go lighter. It makes grinding the weights down easier too. Good luck!

Thanks, I'm just looking for something to get me in the ballpark, so I don't have to R&R the governor too many times.

You need a gram scale and lots of patience. Here's data on various governor weights.

Stock 350 TPI - 9.85 gr
B&M #1 - 14.36 gr
#3 - 9.99 gr
#4 - 8.14 gr
#5 - 7.19 gr
#6 - 5.93 gr

Couldn't weigh #2 since it was installed but estimate between 11 and 13 grams. I agree that the #2 and #3 weights are an excellent starting point. Keep good notes and make gradual changes. It took me a while to really dial in the shift points.
