i am swapping out my 9 bolt rearend with disc for a 10 bolt disc the ten bolt is missing a caliper can i use one from my 9 bolt on the 10 bolt thanks

Yes, it could work, but are you talking about using just the one nine bolt caliper and keeping a ten bolt caliper on there too ? If so, I would go ahead and swith them both.

You will need the backing plates off of the 9 bolt. You will have to modify the backing plates by filling the bolt holes in and redrilling the holes to match the 10 bolts pattern.
