Maybe what I forgot to ask was...will the rear end from a 93 firebird swap into my 88 IROC-Z? Someone said something about needing new rims if I tried it.

Yes, but the 93 rear end is 2 inches wider than your current rear end. Your 88 rims will bolt up, but might stick out slightly passed your fenders.

Actually it's 2 inches wider per side.

Ever see s dodge neon or nissan maxima with 13" spoke rims that stick way out on each side? that will be you. Like mentioned, the rears are almost identical EXCEPT the width. 4th gens have a different offset than 3rd gens.

Damn...what the hell can I do? I know 4th gen rims won't fit on the front of my car. They rub. Do they make replica IROC rims with the correct offset? If so who do I ask for them? What about putting "front" IROC rims on the back of the car...might just make it worse, but I know there's something different between the front and back IROC rims. Any help would be appreciated.

Just get fourth gen rims. Alls you need is spacers on the front and your set. Take a look at the topic on rims in the appearence board. Good luck
