Thinking about doing a tranny swap, would like some imput

well christmas break is comin up fairly shortly, i get a month off from school so i thought i might be able to do some kind of improvements on my drivetrain. currently i have a 700r4 that has roughly 90k miles on it. she has run fine since the day i got her and does not burn any fluid. I was thinking of replacing it with a t56 from a newer camaro. My ?'s are;whats a t56 go for at your local junkyards? how long of time should i designate for this swap? ive already takin the 700r4 out once so i have a reasonably good idea how to remove it. i will read the tech article a few more times if i decide to swap. other ?'s are; should the tranny come first or the rear-end. currently i have the stock rear-end with 273 gears, im fairly certain its the 7.5 bolt.(how can u check?) should i swap that out for like an iroc rear-end or sumthin??

thanks in advance guys!

daniel

86 camaro cpe(dont laugh)has 92z28 body kit with GTS covers, new red paint and a killer stereo. 2 amps, 8 speakers, disc changer, custom install with subs coming by the end of the summer. sawpped (or in the process of) 305lg4 for brand new 350. TES headers, flowmaster cat back, performer manifold, TCI converter, jet chip, kn with dual snorkel cleaner. and she still passed the sniffer!
