Bad clutch chatter and neutral engine vibration?

I just recently had a clutch job done and it has been a nightmare.

First off they give it back to me and the car wont even go into gear. The next day I take it back to them and tell them to check the throw out bearing and sure enough they installed it wrong.

I go to pick the car up again and it goes into gear now but there is HORRIBLE clutch chatter, that shakes the whole car, and a very bad vibration that when I rev in neutral shakes the car pretty bad.

What do you think would cause this? A bad flywheel machining?

I have run into some flywheels that you cant machine. If you do it will throught the balance off and you will have a vibration. For the chatter, what kind of clutch did you have installed? A bad surface on the flywheel or a break-in period might be needed for the chatter to go away.

I had a ZOOM clutch installed. I think it was $229 from summit.

I'd have to say if they did the throwout bearing wrong, they either didn't resurface the flywheel or they resurfaced it badly. IMHO.

Sounds like the dual friction clutch like I have. Mine never chattered after I installed it so Id lean towards something wrong with the flywheel or a bad install.
