Hi i have a 89 camaro rs with a 305 and automatic transmission. The car shifts really hard, when putting it into drive and when switching gears while driving. So I decided to take the care to a transmission shop for a check up and they told me that I need a new valve body. I was wondering how hard a job this is? I was planning on buying a new valve body kit from kragen and putting it on. Any advice on how to do this? thanx

The harsh shift is likely caused by a sticking throttle valve, While another valve body may temporarily solve it . Its usually caused by contamination from some internal failure and will likely repeat with the new body
