A GTA, I beleive it was a 5.7, in my area is being sold and the guy said that it has a Vette servo, and a shift kit installed (Auto tranny)

Now, As I have never experienced a shift kit or corvette servo My question is this: Would they make the car slam into gear at fairly decent RPMS? I took the thing for a drive and it jerked like heck into 2nd and third. I played with it for a little while, but decided that my buddy didnt want it due to other things... But what would these mods do to the driving Feel of the car?
