Confusing with th700r4 oil capasity
Shop manual says 10.9 liters after overhaul.My trans takes 7.7 liters after overhaul.Fluid level is checked with hot oil ,car at level and trans at P.Trans has street Edge converter(9.5")which is supposed to be 1.5 quart less fluid volume than original 12" converter.Trans is -89 th700r4 and dipstik and tube are from original -85 th700r4 trans.Is this 7.7 liter fluid volume right or not?

Are you accounting for the fluid in the convertor? If it wasn't completely empty, I can see it holding at least a couple of quarts.

Converter is brand new.I suppose that they delivery it empty.Look into it and it seems dry.
