man you're right down the road from me, literly i live on 124. any way i've asked this before and never got good answers. my guess is you run the top line to you cooler and then return it to the line going to the trans. you can unhook it and start it up and see if it sprays atf everywhere and figure it out that way.

Yes, hook your cooler up to the bottom line...

ok guys i'm confussed, which doesn't take much. if i were doing it wouldn't you want to use the stock set up and the aftermarket cooler? if so wouldn't you use the top outlet and run it to the new aftermarket cooler and then tie the aftermarket coolers outlet into the return line going to the trans?

No, from what I understand, you want to run it first to the aftermarket cooler then to the stock cooler... Something to do with too much pressure on the stock pump.
Also look at it as the flow though the aftermarket cooler is different then that which goes through the stock one. The size of the tubes is different and thus the velosity of the fluid is different causing less pressure and less chance of foaming and stuff.

I have mine going through the radiator, then the aftermarket cooler. I'm using the rationale that the radiator may increase the temperature if you run the fluid through the extra cooler first. if you do it my way, run the top line from the radiator into the bottom line of the aftermarket cooler. i also installed the cooler slightly crooked, so the side with the inlet/outlet sits slightly higher than the closed side. havent had any problems yet. although i would suggest 1 thing. flare both sides of the steel line coming out of the radiator after you cut it, so the hose you attach does not blow off of it.
