Transgo Questions

Ok, for the General Motors Performance Manual Control Shift Kit, Four Speed Automatic Transmision, Is there any visual difference i.e. 1,2,3,4 vs 1,2,D,OD? Second, what is teh difference between the Pro street, and the Pro competition, and what would be the best choice for a stock 91 z28 305? Third, Do you still have to let off the throttle to shift, or can you actually keep your foot in it and just move it up a notch?

Thanks for your time

Depending on the condition of the transmission, and if you have the correct governor for your particular application you should be able to get 3-4 at WOT. If not you can modify the TV plunger sleeve by blocking the part throttle 4-3 downshift passages. This will allow full throttle 3-4 upshifts. If the governor shifts later than you would like at WOT then you might have to go to a heavier governor. If you have any questions call me at 800 7763288 Mon-Sat 10-6 PST.

Don't ask questions, just get the kit man. I have one. It's AWESOME. I couldn't be happier with it. This is better than driving a manual now. I just leave the shifter in '2' until I get to 40mph, then manually shift into 'D'. My tranny cooler soaks up the moderate amount of excess heat this generates.
