question on shift points on 700r4's

two questions,my car is a 89 with a 350 tpi,the trans when it gets warm is a little soft in my opinion. it dosent grab the gears when it shifts like when it is cool.i have another 700 from a 91 rs that had a 305 tbi motor and the trans shifts nice and hard.will it have the same stall and shift points as my trans.

Are these trans. and stalls all stock?Your shift point and firmness is determind by a few things but yes everything should be pretty much the same. The TV cable is the most important, make sure you set it before driving. I also belive on the 91 trans the speedos electronically controlled.

yes they are both stock.my car has an electronic speedo also, but i think the sensors are different.i have the cable set correctly on my trans,it wasent when i got the car,and i fixed it when i replaced the motor.i also had the pan off my trans and put a new filter and gasket and refilled it with b&m trick shift and im still not happy with it.no bad stuff in the pan.
