When normal driving, my tranny shifts from 1st to 2nd extremely hard and will shift into 3rd kinda hard also. If I drive with WOT, then it shifts very smooth. Surely this isn't normal, is it?

 

what rpm does it shift at when you are justdriving around? when is that last time you checked to see if your tv cable was adjusted right?

 

It shifts at about 3200 rpms. The cable has been set correctly following instructions from this site. Just to let you know, it doesn't always do this but more often than not. Someone told me it was probable a stuck valve. If this is the case and I get a Transgo Shift Kit, will I have to manualy shift from then on? I know, I'm not very bright.

 

The TransGo Performance Shift kit that I use and carry will make the part throttle shifts smooth and the WOT shifts firm. Let me know? Dana

 

yeah most shift kits will be like this. smooth shifting when cruising then hard quick shifts when wot. and no, if you install a shift kit it will still shift by itself.

 

Unless you setup the kit for "full manual", then they are always "fully automatic".
