T-5 pedals

I have already done this swap once without a catch. but this time trying to put the pedals in I come across something I just cant solve. when I bolt in my pedals to the brake booster the bracket at the top will not line up with the cars bolt hole, its off by almost an inch and is at least a half inch from touching the actual sheetmetal. The 91 z also has another steel sheetmetal piece that neither one of the rs's had under the dash that gets in the way but is not touching the pedal assembly now. The other problems would be that the support rods (not sure of the name) dont line up with the spot that I used before on my other cars.

Which is more likely
1. My car is warped, even though I cant find any wreck damage anywhere on the car.
2. My pedal assembly is messed up bad. a good possiblity, but I cant find anything different about my pedals and any of the ones on the internet. I'm thinking the rods might be different or bent. ....was there a firewall change in 91-92 cars?

This just isnt lining up the way it should. does anybody have underdash pics from there 91-92 z28? Especially where the master cylinder hole should be maybe clear pics of a "good" pedal assembly installed or out of the car.

this is killing my project right now any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks guys

Re: T-5 pedals

Thank you Alloy. I found that I left the bolt in to the top bracket in the car so the mount could not sit flush with the body. after removing the bolt they sat within a 1/4" of where they were supposed to. I used the bolt to pull the pedal assembly where it was supposed to be. Working on cutting the holes now.

Should never work on your car with just drop lights in the dark. The bolt sat right where it didnt show through the whole in the bracket and right where it was hidden by the shadow of night. Daylight immedietly revealed it to me. Sorry for the long story guys. I was really frustrated.

Thanks again Alloy.
