Can anybody tell me how strong this trans is? I have one from an 82 Z28 with the efi 305. I was wondering if it will live behind a healthy 350 and a lead foot after a rebuild. Also, which driveshaft does it use? Thanks very much.

well. i had a TH200C in my car and 2 years after i put a 350 in it blew up. if you get a TH350 with the 6" tailshaft you can use the same Driveshaft(i did) but you would need to run some vaccum lines, weld some brackets on the rear of the tranny, etc. but im guessing the TH200 can take 200hp and 300 torque (safely). the TH350 that i got at www.transmssioncenter.net can take 450hp. its called 350 raptor. if you are putting a 5.7L engine in your car, the TH200C will not last long. trust me.

My 200 was built, and it still blew. Behind a stock LG4. I'm dumping it for a T-5. But if you want to keep an automatic, change it!!
