To all who have installed a servo....PLEASE I NEED YOUR HELP!!!

Im having so much trouble with this. I am in the process of installing a transgo shift kit. I had everything done...i thought...however it seems that we didnt get the servo snap ring all the way in place...when i started the car up to test it out, the ring snapped right off and started leaking a bunch of fluid. I am so frustrated at this point...Ive had so much trouble getting this thing installed, and its taken me so long. Is there a special tool or something to put this snap ring in, or does someone have a special way to put it in that works great...PLEASE, I REALLY NEED HELP!!!

Josh, double check the order of the installed servo parts and make sure you have not used too many washers. Use a pry bar to force the cover in until you can push on the ring and it "SNAPS" into place.

According to my Haynes auto trans manual,
install new o-rng on the cover, lube it with
ATF and push the cover into the case, making sure to index the servo pin into the 4th apply piston. Push the cover in and install
the retaining ring, making sure it is fully
seated in its groove.

Thanks for the help guys. Unfortunately the manual is just like the video..."just snap it into place...that looks great" lol, too bad it isnt that simple. Mike, I am going to try to take out one thin washer tomorrow. I thought that might be the problem, so tomorrow i guess ill find out...i only hope i can get the o ring off without breaking it, so i dont have to take another trip down to the tranny shop. Gosh, if I cant get this thing tomorrow ill probably rip all of my hair out. lol, this transgo kit better be well worth it, this has been a huge pain

you can do it man.. DON'T GIVE UP. when you go sideways on the 1-2, the big $hit eating grin you'll have will make up for all the agony involved in this.
