i need to know what year of a camaro tranny i need i have a 88 rs with a 2.8 in it now but iam putting a 406 in it and it will be carbed and in the 88 the converter lock is controlled by the ecm and i need to know what year i need and if there is anything i need to do to the crossmember or anything else before i get started any help will do thanks

Engine: L92/LQ4 (both w/4" stroke)
Transmission: 4L80E/4L80E
Axle/Gears: 12B-3.73/9"-3.89
Look for a '87-later TH700R4. Astrovans w/4.3l V6 use basically the same transmission. You won't have to modify your transmission crossmember, but mounting the V8 on the front crossmember is a different story.

Unless you are using an ECM to control the 406, you'll need to get a lockup switch system (or hook up a manual switch you control). Summit & Jegs have them.
