Wentr to a local trans shop and the technician informed me that it is not worth my time and money to upgrade my trans with a shift kit and torques converter change. My trans has 28,000 miles and runs well, but I thought that the TC is supposed to make a world of difference in performance and HP. The shift kit and servo would give me quicker and firmer shift for performance purposes. Now, since this technician informed me that it is not worth the while, should I do it or not. Are there any articles that instruct a novice on how to change the TC and add a shift kit to a 700r4 trans? Parts are relatively inexpensive, but how hard is it to change these parts and what time is needed. I do not want to make a hasty decision that is why I have been asking so many questions regarding changing the TC and kit.

Need help and questions answered by someone who has done this change and seen performance enhancements.
