I'm in the same situation... I have a 10-bolt drum that is being swapped to the 9-bolt disk in my sig. Can I reuse the parking brake cables?

From what i have heard they are completely different. I haven't gotten to that point yet. I still gotta crawl under it and figure out how to unhook the ebrake cables from the car. That is literally the last thing to getting the rear out.

what part are you having trouble with, disconnecting from the brakes themselves or from the body of the car?

Body of the car. It was late when i was working on it and it just looked like it was squeezed into some bracket and that i had to unbend the bracket to get the cable out.
