Adjustable Pivot Ball? Problems with clutch disengagement

I am having problems with my clutch not disengaging (everything is new). It was fine for about 2 months, but it got gradually worse over a 2 day period and now it will no disengage at all. The slave cylinder pushrod is traveling about 1/2 inch. Is this enough? Also, on my bellhousing there appears to be an adjustable pivot ball. This is a stock bellhousing off of an 86Z. Is did the 5spd swap about 2 months ago. I am confused. Should I try to adjust the pivot ball? Is this factory? TIA
