How come aftermarket manuals are so expensive? Also, who makes good ones...I'm looking for a 5-speed.

IMO I like richmond trannys. I have the 6 speed and am very happy with it. Its the only thing I could think of that will stand up to my engine after breaking a 4 speed muncie. However the 6 speed is very expensive $2800. They do make a 5 speed which is cheaper about $1500. The 5 speed is identical, minus a OD gear, to the 6 speed so its just as good and strong. You can find these in the summit and jegs magizines
