i need to know if the part number for the driven gear for 3.73 ratio 7 r 400 are dicontinued. i believe it is the set with the 15 tooth drive 45 or 41 tooth driven. Either way i ordered the 2 and ended up with my 15 tooth and a 45 tooth grey/lt blue it looks like its for either a T-5 or a th350, and won't fit into the sleeve. All info helpful. I need this over with soon

Does the gear you just bought have a 1/4" boss on the inside that is keeping it from going all of the way down on the D shaft? If so, you can grind off the boss flush and use the gear.

I've had to do this before.

i have a pic , but can't post it. the gear looks just like the ones i used to use on my th350 on my 81 z28. the 7r4 gears have metal shafts. This one is completely plastic. the end (looking down it) has a square port dor the speedo cable but there is no way this belongs with my car. i have numbers, though i don't know if they are for my 3.42 gear set that i have. the numbers are p/n 8640517 and p/n25522497. thnx for responding

 

For a 700R4 with 3.73 gears:

8642620 - 15T Gray Drive Gear

9780470 - 44T Dk Gray Driven Gear

These are still available. I ordered them about a month ago and are sitting on my desk waiting to be installed.
