Pilot Bushing Installation

I am trying to put a pilot bushing in my car but I am having a hard time getting it in. I greased it up and I am hitting it in but it still has about 1/3 of the way to go. Should it be this hard to get in or am I not hitting it hard enough?

Re: Pilot Bushing Installation

Well I had to hit the hell out of mine to get it in there. I used a bearing instead of a bushing though. I'd say it sounds normal as long as it is going to square.
