Clutch and tranny ?
Clutch and tranny ?
First of all, how do you know what type of transmission you have? I know this is a dumb question but i dont know what type I have. My car is a 91 Z28 with a 5 speed. Also how do you know if your clutch is worn out. I know it starts to slip but is there anything else?
Thanks
Thanks
You have a "world class" t-5. When your clutch is worn it will slip on acceleration. It won't be notice in steady state situations until it gets really bad. You may possibly smell the clutch burning but maybe not.

Thank you for the information, i havent smelt it. I dont think it is worn, i just dont think they installed it the proper way, meaning there might be some dirt or grease on the flywheel.
Well if there is any grease on the flywheel, it could cause it to glaze and not grab properly. Is there something that it is doing now that it wasn't before you had a new clutch put in? (ie: vibration, noise when clutch pedal is not pressed in, etc)

The story is that i bought this car from this small dealer thing that specializes in camaros. Well he put a new clutch in it, but i saw the way he was working on other cars so i dont think he does everything the correct way. But i dont know cause i have nothing to compare it to.
