Transgo kit installed but now...
I got this 1983 th700r-4 from a friend for $150. The van they took it from drove to there house. But that was 2 years ago. Everything on the tranny was plugs and put away nicely . I got the tranny and plan on just putting a filter and gasket in it. Well the fluid was brown and looked like some water has got in it. So I went ahead and brought a transgo shift the better that comes with the corvette piece. So I installed the kit ( I did screw up and drill the wrong hole in the Valvebody, but I went to the junkyard and got a 1984 th700r4 valvebody and used it) and clean it has much has I could. Well I got it into the car, Reverse pulls hard real nice. But in Drive just inches foward. The Car idles down when I put it into gear but give it throttle and I get nothing (well no more then the inches i was getting with no throttle) Need advice. Fluid is good I had to add 1qt of lucas tranny fluid and 5 qt of reg tranny fluid.

Re: Transgo kit installed but now...
Well today I drove the car in reverse up the road and back thats about a 1/4 miles. Then in my driveway I did some heavy throttle reverse pulls and then I would put the car in drive let it coast foward. Check the tranny fluid it was about 2 qts low by now. So I add some more fluid and did some more reverse pulls. But still no luck in drive. Engine was running at about 190 F. I let it warm up before I drove it so the tranny fluid get hot. Can anyone give me some advice
