i have a 88 formula bird that i am buying a aluminum drive shaft for it but it doesnt have the u joints and i know that the aluminum takes a different u joint so if anyone has the part sumbers for both that would be great!!!

 

any1?? also how much are the yokes are they very much? are the u joints for aluminum different somewherei read that they werent then i read that they were so which is it? i think also i read that i should get spicer u joints? well anyways its a used shaft but for the price i couldnt beat it.. just want to have all the parts ready when it gets here so if anyone else knows what i should get let me know thanks

I forgot the PN but both ends take the U-joint that is listed only for the rear of the aluminum shaft... and they're about $25 each. None of the auto parts chains that I know of have the right PN for the front listed correctly.

i have searched the archives and havent found nothing!! can some one help me here.. so basically the aluminum drive shaft takes both rear for the front and the rear ujoints? does anyone have the part numbers?

 

Jeg's or Summit sells U-joints for alum applications. Call them. I'm sure they'll be able to provide what you need.
