TA rear cover fill hole?
Im replacing my gasket of my TA cover cause of a leak....I drained the fluid and it still looks clean so im gonna reuse it...
my question is, theres a fill hole on the top of the cover....do I fill to that point or the normal fill hole on the side of the housing? or does it matter?
is to much fluid a bad thing?

Re: TA rear cover fill hole?
you can use the top hole on the cover to fill, but only fill to the normal depth of the original hole
Re: TA rear cover fill hole?
Question..Why are you going to reuse the old fluild??? Just because it looks clean dose not mean it should not be replaced. All that work and you don't use new fluid... DUMB

I have the instructions out in the shop, but I'm pretty sure that the preload bolts are 5 foot pounds and the others are 25. I can look it up later if you want. Be sure to use some sealant around the preload bolts to keep oil from leaking out around them. I usually torque them and then use a little RTV around the bolt before putting the jamb nut on.
