two-pulse vs. four-pulse

problem no.222 swaped out a ratted 700r 4 for a good used one .
first tail shaft wouldnt fit from a 91 to a 92 not only was it a different size but the bolt pattern was also not lining up . solve =fabed up a bracket for the touque arm and mounted it to the crossmember . these are also available on ebay and other places if you want to buy one . aparrently drag racers do this anyway to keep from breaking tailshafts on hard launches.
now to the next problem , the 92 output shaft has a "signal generator " on it for electronic speedos not a plastic gear to drive the speedo sensor . according to this guy you can pull the metal gear off and install a plastic gear to drive the sensor http://purplesagetradingpost.com/sum...o/700R4p2.html

has anyone done this and if so was it sucsesful or what problems did you have here is anopther helpful 700r4 page that exploaines 2 or 4 pulse type trany's
