Time for a rebuild. The 3-4 clutch pack is the biggest weak point in the 700R4 transmission. You went 144k miles without a rebuild?, that is pretty good. When rebuilding this unit you should install the latest Borg Warner Hi-Energy 8-pack with Kolene steels if you are going to rebuild it yopurself?. There a lot of other things you can do to this transmission to get better quality performance shifts, and longer life. I carry everything needed to do this yourself. If you are not going to do the transmission yourself, I offer complete performance transmissions & torque converters with a one year warranty. Depending on what type of driving you do will determine what transmission & torque converter are required. I will need to know the engine modifications (if any), what rear end gear ratio you have? etc. This transmission would be custom built for your particular application. If you have any questions call me at 800 7763288 Mon-Sat 10-6 PST.
