It seems the motor has developed a serious vibration at 1800-2000 rpm. I have only added a tranny cooler and a poly tranny mount recently. I noticed the vibration Saturday after driving at 65 with the motor at about 2300 rpm. i raced it before the vib started, though nothing serious. Long story short the vib is present with the tranny in park. Also there is no evidence of an ignition problem, the plugs and wires are new and working. A friend thought maybe i spun out the harmonic balancer, and i have given thought to a failed torque converter. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Might be the engine mounts. have your friend is you trust him put the car in gear ebrake on and brake pushed in rev it and watch the engine to see if it moves.

Try unbolting the torque converter, push it back into the trans, and start the engine.

If its still there, its engine related. If its gone, its in the trans.
