tranny and rearend Q's
Alright guys I am about to put my Z on the road for the first time since the engine transplant and I got a couple of Q's. I have about 400 hp and I was wondering if the 700-R4 would be able to last a little while.
Also how long do you think the rearend would hold-up?
Should I do a performance build on the rear or just get a whole new unit and also any suggestions on rears?
Why is the 700-R4 twice as expensive as TH-350 tranny's?
Do TH-350 bolt right in or is there a kit?
Thats all for now and thanks for any help!

400HP is alot of power for a stock 700r4, the main reason the 700's are so much more is due to them having OD which makes sense if you think about it. Although the TH350's are much stronger. If gas milage isn't a problem for you the TH350 would work. The stock rear end won't last long either from what i have read and observed. If you can baby the car until you get the money for tougher more durable parts then that would probly be the best bet.
You say its a new motor so your going to have to baby it for the first couple thousand miles anyways.
