Oops!!!, stripped the torque arm mount bolt
While installing my trans after a rebuild I stripped the upper torque arm mount bolt. The one that holds the two pieces of metal together and bolts into the trans. I was wondering if a shop would be able to retap this while it's still in the car or will they have to pull the trans. How much will it cost? Thanks.

If it stripped out, there probably wont be enough material to re-tap. Use an insert (solid or heli-coil) or just get a fresh tail piece out of the junkyard. pull the speedo gear and 4 bolts and its off (if room is limited it might even be easier to fix it by taking it off anyway)
