LS1 Tranny Diff from LT1?

I was doing some reading and I think i saw them say that the LS1 T-56 was different than the LT1 T-56. If this is the case, does it mean that LS1 transmisions won't fit into a third-gen?

Not unless you have put an LS1 in there. I believe that the input shaft is longer and the bellhousing has a totally different pattern and shape. Definitely stick with an LT1 T56.

In that case, what was the last year of the LT1?
