No, they use a 60* bellhousing, smallblocks use a 90*.

 

you couldn't just change the bellhousing ?

 

700r4 dont have modular bellhousings, the case is one piece, u need a v8 stlye 700r4 the only exception is a 700r4 that was behind a 4.3v6 like in a blazer or truck those have v8 bellhousing patterns.....if u get one of those all u have to do is swap the tail shaft housing wich is 4 bolts and a 99 cent gasket....

 

depends on what the v6 trans. is from.
If its from a 2.8 or 3.1 engine then no,it will absolutely not work.
However,if the v6 trans. in question is from a 4.3 engine,then yes it will bolt up just fine to a v8.

 

There is a a difference in the 3/4 clutch pack though. The V6's have less clutches which mean it wouldn't be as strong.
