Posi Unit

Anyone know if the 8.5" 10 bolt posi unit from a car is the same as the 8.5" 10 bolt from a 1/2 ton 4x4?

Car: 82 Berlinetta/57 Bel Air
Engine: LS1/LQ4
Transmission: 4L60E/4L80E
Axle/Gears: 12B-3.73/9"-3.89
That sounds right. Only difference would be 2- or 3-series carrier. Although not sure about the axle spline count.
