wont hold first gear??? please help please!!!

Car: 85 Camaro Z/28
Engine: 350
Transmission: built 700r, B&M shift kit
Axle/Gears: 3.73
wont hold first gear??? please help please!!!
my 700r automatically shifts out of first gear even when i have it in first.
it never did this before i could hold it in first for as long as i wanted or downshift into first but now that i have installed the shift kit i cant do either of those. at about 2000rpm it will shift into 2nd??? i have pulled it apart and put it back together going on six times now trying to figure this out. please help!!!! any help would be greatly appreciated

I would guess the TV cable needs re-adjusted since removing the valvebody. A quick search will turn up the proper procedure.
