I'm confused and need some help
When I had my old 305 TBI w/ headers and SLP shift kit my 3.08 pegleg would feel like the rear of the car was kicking out in one direction between the 1-2 shift. In the rain the car would loose traction real bad from the hard shift. I'm afraid that when I take it down the track now (with the 350) that the rear end is going to snap and kick like that and I'll get a little crazy. Is a pegleg dangerous when going down the 1/4 when you have 90% more power than stock and hard shifts?

i wouldn't think so. in a front wheel drive car that has some nuts you can feel the power "hunt" from wheel to wheel, but it doesn't really make the front of the car go all over. like wise with a one legger rear end, the power will spin the one with the least traction, and unless you completely loose traction with both wheels you aren't going to loose control. i know what you are talking about though, my 86 iroc runs pretty strong, and it has a 3.23 one legger with a shift kit. on a good wide open upshift, the tires will chirp and the rear of the car will slide to the right about 3 inches, my dad's monte SS did the same thing with it's 3.42 open rear. i'm not sure why they do it, but i have never felt as if i was about to loose the car.

Okay, I think I'll be okay. I'm just really careful since I just got the car restored from the total and now the new engine. The posi cars I've been in haven't had that rear end kick as bad as mine, not sure if my shift kit is harder or what but it's scared a few of my friends.
