New 700R4 Raptor installed shft.pts. WTF?

Well me and dad finally got the tranny installed and all and got a big 8 pass tranny cooler with the addition to the one in the radiator. My problem now is that when it shifts it goes into 1-2 and 2-3 too quickly and is in 3 way to much at to low a speed how can I adjust this out of it? Is it in the T.V. Cable? I have a new cable on it that I got from the deal with Raptor and its different adjust than stock it has a smal cylinder thingy with a screw to adjust it with and not the ratcheting deal as the originals had. Also there is a sweet woody smell that radiates from somewhere seems to come from the vents but I think this is something else? Any info would be appreciated!

With the throttle all the way open, the TV cable should have 1/8" to no slack at all. If you have more the transmission will upshift super early & you will tear it up. Try the adjustment mentioned above.
Hope This Helps!!!

I had this same problem with my Raptor 700. I had to install the governor out of my original trans to solve this problem. Overall I am not happy with this transmission. The dipstick and throttle valve cable they sent me were not the right ones, had to put my stock ones on. The tranny doesn't shift nearly as hard as I wish it would (going to install a shift kit.) I'm wondering if it is just a stock rebuild disguised as a performance trans.
