I GET MY CAR BACK FROM ITS FRESH PAINT JOB AND BEEN DRIVING IT FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS AND TODAY WHEN I WAS DRIVING SINCE I HAVEA B&M MEGA SHIFTER I AM ALWAYS SHIFTING IT AND WHEN I SHIFTED INTO 2ND AND DROVE IN THAT GEAR THEN LET OFF AND THE RPMS WOULD DROP TO ABOUT 1000 THEN I WENT TO STEP ON TEH GAS A LITTLE AND IT ACTED LIKE IT HAD A STALL CONVERTER IN IT.. THE TRANS DIDNT KICK IN TILL 2000 RPMS THEN SOMTIMES IT WOULDNT DO IT THEN AT TIMES IT KICKED IN HIGHER WHAT IS THE DEAL HERE?? ALSO COULD A TRANS THAT IS GOING BAD MAKE A CAR SURGE OR ACT AS IF IT HAS FLAT SPOTS UP THE RPM RANGE?? I AM SURE ITS THE TRANNY GOING OUT IN THE CAR ALSO IT HAS THE 700R4 IN IT AND THE CAR HAS 95,000 ON IT THE ONLY THING BAD ABOUT THIS IS I DONT HAVE THE MONEY GET A NEW TRANS OR REBUILD SO WHAT SHOULD I DO THANKS

this run is before the new exhaust system new sticky tires coolant by pass smog removal new runners new thermostat and new three core radiator since i would get to the line and be well over 220* aluminum drive shaft and vette servo

As stated above, your fluid is probably low. Depending on how long you've run it, you may have already done the damage. Go into a trans shop and ask now. It might be cheaper now than later. Also, check on rebuilt prices. There are a couple that l have see that were only $100 or so more than the rebuild l had done on the V6. These generally have the shiftkit, thicker clutches, etc already in them, Catch is, thats the price w/o labor, but putting one in isnt that difficult.
