need a 700r4 input shaft measurement

i need to know if the v8 30 spline input shaft is the same lenght as the small bellhousing v6 27 spline shaft

reason i ask is in order to step up to a multi disk lockup converter to have lockup capabilitys under wot,i need the 30 spline shaft.but i was told there is a length difference between the v6 27 spline and the v8 30 spline shafts

can anyone get me a measurement of the 2 diff shafts?

Re: need a 700r4 inout shaft measurement

I'll try to remember to check this when I get home. I only have one v6 trans and it is a 27 spline. It's still assembled, but I can get it's length from the pump vs the later/V8 30 spline from the the pump.

Re: need a 700r4 inout shaft measurement

I measured a 30 spline v.8. from a 1989 and found it to be approx 4 inches from the converter seal to the end of the input shaft. hope anything helps. Don't have a 6 cyl to compare to. I'll provide more-just pm message me if I forget to check back.
