Put one quart in as you do not want the TC to start dry. Put 4 quarts in the transmission itself before starting and add fluid as fast as possible till you get to 10 quarts then start reading the dipstick (read both sides, the side that reads the lowest is the true reading) keep adding fluid till full. Check the TV cable to be sure it is adjusted properly. Drive easy first 5-10 miles, recheck fluid level. Now you will be ready to try some 1/2 - 3/4 throttle upshifts to see if everything is correct, if ok go for a pass & see what happens.
Hope This Helps!!!

i couldn't have said it better myself, just take it easy with her at first and when you install the tc snug each bolt one at a time and turn it and repeat it until they are all tight, dont tighten one all the way and move to the next one as you want it to line up correctly and flush, just a tip, also make sure the tc goes on the splines correctly and clicks 3 times when you spin it,but i am sure you already know that.
