I am in the process of putting the Trans-go shift kit into my 700-R4 (street/strip).
I was thinking of putting in a new shifter control.

What are the benefits to doing this? Which is the best buy? What needs to be done to install one? Will the shifter fit into the stock location, or will it be raised up from the console (as it appears in the pictures in the Summit catalog)?

pick the shifter(s) you lke and go to their web sites, most if not all should have instructions posted or a description to give you an idea of what's involved.
