The rear mount/crossmember is located farther back on the frame than your '82 has holes for - drill to match and put nuts inside the frame. You'll have a hole in the tunnel where your 4-speed shifter goes that will need to be covered for the auto, and you'll need a hole for the shifter cable where there isn't one now.

Taking out the clutch pedal is the next hardest thing. Other than that, it's probably easier than going the other way.

Or you can just modifiy your existing crossmember for the new tranny and not have to drill the frame. I put a t-5 in place of the th350 that was in my 82 ta, and I just welded a piece of 1/4" steel plate to the crossmember to give me a surface for the mount, and then drilled the hole where i needed it. Works great, and its easier to but a new crossmember then a new frame.

The pedals are gonna be a b*tch if you plan on replacing the brake/clutch carriage with a brake carriage from the auto. I have a spare brake carriage if you need one.

What are you gonna do with the 4 speed? I may be interested in it and all its associated stuff (bellhousing, flywheel, mechanical clutch linkage, shifter, mount, etc) if you want to unload it

let me know
