3.45 or 3.7
currently i am redoing a whole lot on my car from motor to suspension and driveline, i am debating on usuing 3.45 or 3.7 gears, which do you think will be more beneficiary, heres the setup
355
10.5.1 compression
comp cams xfi 268 218/224 .570"/.565" 113LSA
1.6.1 full roller rockers
ported l98 heads portmatched to intake
stock tpi base and runners all port matched (for now until i get some more cash)
hooker hkr 2055 shorty headers
flowmaster american thunder catback
spohn lca's, panhard rod, sway bars, wonderbar, strut tower brace
mickey thompson 255/50/16 street radials
700r4 (shift kit on the way)
borg-warner 9 bolt with stock 3.27 (rebuild on the way for the LSD)
and such
if theres anything that ive left out ill edit but for the most part thats it and like i said im debating between 3.70 or 3.45
ive read thru dozens of threads 3.45 seems to be the best choice but im still curious what would do better with my setup

Re: 3.45 or 3.7
You're kinda splitting hairs trying to decide between those two ratios. Either of them would work great with your setup. Going by the specs you listed for your engine, you'll probably make tons of low-end torque, so 3.45's would be a good choice. In fact, the 3.70's would probably have you roasting the tires most of the time unless you feather the throttle some when taking off. Since the 700r4 has that deep 3.06 1st gear, you'll have plenty of takeoff ability with 3.45's.

thanks for all your input, i think im gona go with the 3.45 for now, i can alwalys change it later, and o yeah its gona have TONS of low end torque and a pretty decent midrange as for tpi goes no more gettin beat by wipmy *** cars from a roll either
