Tranny doctors I need your help with this one. I installed a kickdown kit on my 700-r4 from Summit. If am at a stop light and I floor it , it goes first, second, third then OD , the problem is once I get to OD it stays there and if I shift into third trying to get my rpms up It won't downshift until like 4-5 seconds later by then If I am at a friendly drag race I am toast. What could be the problem? Could this kit screw up my shifts?Thanks in advance . Note: I tought that even if you've got the kickdown kit(allowing u to stay in OD at wot) you could always downshift to third manually. ANy Help?

was the part you are talking about the B&M kickdown valve?

also how easy was the install. I just ordered the gm equivilent for $16 from my local dealership

 

I think that's the one. It allows you to go wot in 4th (OD)up to a point.
