I was talking to a trans shop owner I usually trust a lot. He recommened a Billet Servo Kit. Showed me the part and it looks like a real quality unit. He said this is much better than switching to a Corvette unit. Also this mod with raising the shift points and B&M Trick shift fluid would be all I need. Anyone have any experience with this type of unit.

I would suggest that you forget the the trick oils. Install a TransGo Reprogramming Kit. The Vette Servo is good (and you might have it already). To raise the shift points you will have to work on the governor.

 

Thanks for the help. I would definetly let the trns shop guy do the shift point work. Absolutly a case of letting the experts do their thing.

Not all tranny shops understand this. You MAY be better off doing it yourself, if you are comfortable with it. I understand though if you don't want to take a chance.
