IS IT POSIBLE TO PUT A 4TH GEN TRANY IN MY 3RD GEN TPI

I JUST WANTED TO KNOW IF AN AUTO TRANNY CAN FIT IT .CAN BE DONE ?????
WILL IT FIT ?
PERFORM BETTER ?

Engine: LQ9

Transmission: T56

Axle/Gears: 3.54 R200 IRS

It will fit, only one actually of use would be a 93 4L60 which is same as 700R4, the 94 up would require the controller from GM, its about $900, either way they will fit.

Axle/Gears: 2.77 Borg Warner 9-Bolt

Well, you don't exactly have to get the controller from GM. Jet and a few other company's make a piggy back PCM for the 4L60E tranny. You may wish to inquire Jet about the priceing.
