700 R4 Swap
Has anyone ever put a Trans with an electric speedo output in place of a tranny with cable driven speedo? How hard would it be to convert to an electric speedo? I still have the cable driven tranny, should I just use it?

Just pull the driven gear and VSS out of the electronic one and put in the driven gear and housing from the cable driven one.

Thanks for the info, The last 6 inches of the casing just bolts on. Can I just unbolt the whole thing and bolt the new one on?

It's just a single bolt to pull the VSS or driven gear housing out. You'd still have to do it to get the tailhousing off anyway.
